Fantastico
Traveling to Costa Rica for the first time my wife and I chose this hotel for our first 3 days of our 10 day trip. We rented a 4x4 in Liberia and after making the turn off the main road encountered a long (approx 18 KM) but unique drive up to the Borinquen. Drove through several small towns which was fun and really got a feel for the Costa Rica culture, local lifestyle etc. We rented a Villa from the hotel website, this was a little steep for our budget but we splurged a bit and feel that it was well worth the $$. Very romantic for us and pretty much had the resort to ourselves for the first day. Most of our time was spent in the wonderful hot pools and also the very nice regular pool. Not wanting to drive back down the hill toward Liberia we opted to dine at the resort each night for dinner. We are VERY happy with the food quality and service for evening dining, The lamb was incredible and the service was very above par. The included breakfast was a very nice morning event served in the outside dining area. Traditional Costa Rica Breakfast was served the first day and the next was an American breakfast. The setting alone makes this meal special.
